Available Laser Discs

Howard Erickson (Talk Back, Feb. 9) is wrong when he says that laser disc movies are “never for overnight rental for $1 or $3. They’re for sale only, at $25 to $40 a crack.” Laser’s Edge in Burbank has been renting laser disc movies for years and has a huge selection to choose from. In addition, a local video store in Tujunga has a variety of new films available on laser disc--and the rental cost is around $3. Having owned a laser disc player for more than 10 years, we rent laser discs frequently and we do find it less expensive than going to movies.
