SANTA CLARITA : Mediation Program Receives City Grant
- Share via
Santa Clarita has awarded a $3,000 grant to expand a Los Angeles County-run mediation program offered at the Santa Clarita Valley Service Center.
The program provides free mediation for county residents who agree to accept the resolution instead of seeking a court ruling. Cases ranging from landlord-tenant disputes to arguments between neighbors are settled by volunteers, who have been trained by the county Bar Assn., a county Community and Senior Citizens Services official said.
She said the grant would allow more mediators to be trained.
