Okada Captures 65-Kilogram Title at U.S. Senior Judo

Tony Okada of Stanton continued his preparations for the Summer Olympics by winning the 65-kilogram (143-pound) class at the 1992 U.S. Senior Open judo championships Saturday at Pittsburgh.
Okada, a 1991 Savanna High graduate, won all five of his matches, and defeated Albert Asena of San Jose in the final.
Okada, who will represent the United States in the 60-kilogram (132-pound) class at Barcelona, will train next month in Japan and then compete in the Pan American Championships in Canada in June.
