MOORPARK : Board Picks Builder for New School
- Share via
The board of the Moorpark Unified School District has chosen a builder for a proposed new middle school, clearing the way for the campus to be completed by September, 1993, as scheduled.
The board voted unanimously this week to approve the bid of the Upland-based W. D. Gott Construction Group, which will build the school for $6.3 million, $800,000 less than the $7.1-million projected cost.
The campus, which will be built on a hillside at Spring and Peach Hill roads, will ease crowding at Chaparral Middle School, the district’s only school for sixth- through eighth-grade students.
