Because of the violence and uncertainty in Los Angeles, many local stations will maintain their continuous coverage of area developments. All other programming is subject to preemptions for news reports, although most nationally based cable stations are expected to carry their regular entertainment lineup.
KCBS Channel 2 will divert attention from the crisis with the blockbuster “Batman,” tonight at 8 p.m. Michael Keaton, Kim Bassinger and Jack Nicholson star in the film rescheduled from Wednesday night.
Sunday at 7:30 p.m., Channel 28 presents a very different view of California from the one of the last few days on “California’s Gold.” Huell Howser takes viewers on a tour of the blossoming fruit and almond trees in Fresno County as he explains the history of our state’s agricultural heartland.
At 9 p.m. Sunday on Channels 11 and 6, “Married . . . With Children” begins a three-part season finale as the Bundys take a vacation in London.
