Floyd to Join Senior Tour on Sept. 9

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Raymond Floyd, one of the hottest players on the PGA Tour, will make his debut on the Senior PGA Tour in the Bank One Senior Golf Classic on Sept. 9-13, tournament officials announced Thursday.
Floyd, who ranks fourth on the PGA Tour earnings list with $626,324, turns 50 on Sept. 4 and will be eligible for senior competition.
“I look forward to playing the senior tour, and I hope I can be an asset out there,” Floyd said. “Lexington is my first opportunity, since I’ll turn 50 in midweek.”
Floyd has won 21 PGA Tour titles in three decades, including two PGA Championships, one Masters and one U.S. Open. He has earned nearly $4.8 million in his career.
