Dave Ferraro won his eighth Professional Bowlers Assn. title, defeating David Traber, 217-202, in the championship round of the $125,000 Active West Open at Riverside. Traber earned the title berth by beating Dennis Horan Jr., 226-216, after defeating Rick Steelsmith, 268-249. Steelsmith opened the competition with a 258-224 victory over Brian Voss.
