Dan Devine, athletic director at Missouri from 1967 to 1970, has reached a one-year agreement to return to that position, interim chancellor Gerald Brouder said.
Devine, 67, was Missouri’s football coach from 1958 to 1970 before moving on to the Green Bay Packers and, in 1974, to Notre Dame, where his 1977 team won the national championship. He left Notre Dame in 1980 to become executive director of Arizona State’s Sun Angel Foundation in Phoenix.
