The Region : Dial-A-Ride on Weekends

Effective July 1, Dial-A-Ride service for older and disabled residents in West Covina, Baldwin Park and adjacent unincorporated areas will run on weekends, as well as weekdays.
The new hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Current hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The West Covina City Council on Tuesday approved the yearlong pilot program, recommended by the Senior Citizens Commission because of requests for weekend rides to shopping centers and churches.
The program is operated by the cities of West Covina and Baldwin Park and Los Angeles County, which had already approved the new hours.
