Orion Gets More Time in Reorganization Plan: A federal bankruptcy court in New York granted Orion Pictures Corp. more time to a file a reorganization plan. Orion’s exclusivity period was extended to July 13. The movie studio that produced and distributed “Silence of the Lambs” was also granted access to $31.1 million in operating funds until Aug. 31. Orion lawyers also said a reorganization proposed by Metromedia was proceeding, that further details would be disclosed and that the creditors’ committee and banks had approved the reorganization.
