Pepsico Buys Full Ownership in Hostess Frito-Lay: Pepsico Foods International said it bought the 50% of Hostess Frito-Lay Co. that it did not own. It had held the firm in a partnership with Kraft General Foods Canada. Terms of the deal between Kraft and Pepsico Foods, the snack food division of Pepsico Inc., were not announced. The partnership was formed in 1988, when Pepsico’s Frito-Lay Canada joined with General Foods Canada’s snack food operation, Hostess Food Products Ltd.
