LOS ANGELES : Boy Dies of Stab Wounds; Hunt for Brother Pressed

An 11-year-old boy allegedly stabbed by his 15-year-old stepbrother during an attack that also left their mother critically wounded died Wednesday, and police stepped up their search for the teen-ager.
The youngster, whose name was withheld, died at 8:12 a.m. at UCLA Medical Center, said Detective Richard Hoffman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide Section.
The boys’ 37-year-old mother, who is three months’ pregnant, remained in critical condition at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew Medical Center. Her name was also withheld.
Police obtained a court order to get permission to release the name of the 15-year-old suspect in the Monday attack, who they believe is still in the Los Angeles area. LAPD Lt. Bruce Hagerty identified the teen-ager as Christopher Lee Andrews, and said his name was released in hopes that it will elicit information from the public to help find him.
