* Kazue Kido has been named executive vice president and a director of NKK America Corp., and general manager of the firm’s Los Angeles office. NKK America is a wholly owned subsidiary of NKK Corp., one of Japan’s major steelmakers, shipbuilders and integrated heavy engineering and frontier technologies firms.

Kido replaces Naoaki Anzai, who served in that position for four years and who now has been transferred to NKK’s Tokyo head office to become general manager of the steel division export department.

Kido, 45, joined NKK in 1969. His career at the company has focused on steel exporting, the most recent task being market research for steel products in Southeast Asia and the U.S.
