Genius Is Fleeting for Stanford’s Walsh

Gene Wojciechowski wrote Aug. 26 in “Walsh Is Content, Aggies in Dark” that Bill Walsh “has returned to his element and to the only school capable of persuading him to become a coach again.”

Since Coach Walsh is one of my few remaining heroes, I want to set the record straight. CNN interviewed Walsh on Aug. 23 and he said that the only other coaching job he would have considered was UC Berkeley.
