LOS ANGELES : RTD Will Stop Selling Reduced-Fare Bus Tickets

The RTD announced Wednesday that it will stop selling special 50-cent discount bus tickets Sept. 26.
RTD General Manager Alan F. Pegg said the RTD will no longer accept the discount tickets as the base fare on board buses effective Oct. 1.
To date, a total of 20 million tickets have been sold. The RTD projects that by the end of the program more than 22 million reduced-fare tickets will have been distributed.
