Sir Speedy Sells Argentine Franchise Rights

LAGUNA HILLS — Sir Speedy Inc., a 24-year-old Laguna Hills printing shop franchiser, said it has sold exclusive franchise rights in Argentina to two businessmen from that country. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The buyers--Cesar Batlle, general manager of one of Argentina’s largest paper companies, and Buenos Aires attorney Alberto Zavalia Lagos--agreed to establish at least 15 Sir Speedy Printing Centers in Buenos Aires in the next five years.
Sir Speedy, which had sales of $346 million last year, has nearly 900 franchised operations worldwide. About 80% are in the United States.
The company is a subsidiary of KOA Holdings Inc. of Billings, Mont.
