Pacifica Rolls Over Bolsa Grande, 29-0

GARDEN GROVE — Pacifica entertained its homecoming crowd by rolling to a 29-0 victory over Bolsa Grande in the Garden Grove League opener for both teams Friday night at Bolsa Grande High School.
The Mariners (3-1, 1-0 in league) built a 27-0 halftime lead on three second-quarter touchdowns and controlled the ball throughout the second half. Bolsa Grande (0-4, 0-1) was only able to make four first downs and 64 yards total offense against the Pacifica defense.
Pacifica running backs Josh Lewis and Damien Cook each scored two touchdowns. Cook scored the game’s first touchdown with a 12-yard run with 1:03 left in the first quarter and the game’s final touchdown on an 18-yard run with 2:58 left in the second quarter.
Lewis scored two second-quarter touchdowns on a three-yard plunge and an 82-yard run with 6:26 left in the second quarter.
