1/2 The Jayhawks, “Hollywood Town Hall,” Def American. This Minneapolis quartet hits consistently with the same country-rock-soul ambitions of the early Flying Burrito Brothers, complete with twin vocals and rustic images of passing times and loves. And in at least one song--the plaintive “Take Me With You (When You Go)”--Mark Olson and Gary Louris achieve a yearning ache that would have done top Burrito Gram Parsons proud. The group opens for the Black Crowes’ Greek Theatre shows starting Tuesday.
