Buena 23, Oxnard 22--Senior Aaron Triana threw a pair of touchdown passes in the third quarter to lead Buena (4-3, 3-1) at Oxnard.
Triana, who completed nine of 14 passes for 206 yards, connected with Lance Caldwell on a 42-yard touchdown with 11:09 left in the third quarter and hit Gary Lipp on a 44-yard pass play with 43 seconds to play in the period.
The scoring passes gave Buena a 23-16 lead after the Bulldogs trailed, 16-8, at halftime.
Quarterback Larry Bumpus of Oxnard (4-3, 1-3) scored from two yards with 7:30 to play to pull the Yellowjackets to within 23-22, but Adrian Wilson was stopped on a two-point conversion try. Bumpus rushed for 121 yards in 17 carries. He also scored on a 58-yard run and threw a four-yard scoring pass to Dwan London.
Buena junior running back George Keiaho rushed 29 times for 163 yards, lifting his season total to 1,131 yards.
