MISSION HILLS : Collision Closes Freeway Transition
- Share via
A collision between a dump truck and a car Monday on the transition road from the northbound Golden State Freeway to the westbound Simi Valley Freeway backed up traffic for hours and forced the California Highway Patrol to temporarily close the heavily traveled roadway.
After the 2:42 p.m. collision, the dump truck became stuck in the passing lane of the transition road, CHP Officer Clarence Johnson said.
Authorities were forced to close the transition road down at 4:07 p.m., and cars were diverted for nearly half an hour so a tow truck could move the dump truck out of the way, Johnson said. There were no injuries.
