Registered voters may contact the Department of the Registrar--Recorder/County Clerk for the location of their polling place or, if time is not an issue, they may request that another sample ballot be mailed to them.
The responsibilities of the department include registration of voters; maintenance of the voter file; conduct of federal, state, local and special district elections, verification of signatures on intiative and referenda petitions, recordation of real estate documents and other records and issuance of copies of birth, death and marriage certificates.
For sample ballot inquiries in Los Angeles County, call (213)-727-1900. On election day call (800)-545-7799. Voters registered in other counties should contact their county registrar’s office for the location of polling places.
