Transit Station

The debate in Encinitas over the proposed train and bus station has now gotten to the point of silliness. Transit Reform Coalition member Beverly Goodman was quoted in The Times as saying that “the average person won’t take a bus to take a train,” a statement not only provincial, but embarrassingly incorrect. People from Montreal to Mexico City would be confused by the very idea that train travel is autonomous.
There are too many people in North County for a few misguided folks to treat the area like a backwater. Yes, Beverly, average people all over the world take buses to trains.
