Tentative Agreement Set on Harness Racing
- Share via
Two harness horse owners reached an unwritten agreement Monday to lease the Los Alamitos race track for harness racing next year and part of 1994.
Perry De Luna of Culver City and Paul Reddam of Newport Beach agreed to hold two meetings at Los Alamitos and one at Sacramento over the next 18 months, subject to the approval of lawyers for them and the tracks.
Under the agreement, the summer-fall harness meeting at Los Alamitos would be canceled and replaced by a meeting from Dec. 15, 1993, to April 30, 1994. The new schedule would avoid a conflict with quarter horse racing at Hollywood Park.
