Nov. 25 Deadline to Apply for Storm Aid: Victims of damage from February’s severe storms in Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego and 10 other counties in California have until Nov. 25 to apply for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The SBA is offering loans of up to $500,000 to small, non-farm businesses that were adversely affected by heavy rains, flooding or mudslides in their areas.
Los Angeles SBA District Director Michael Lee said the agency has approved 1,135 disaster loans totaling $35 million to homeowners and businesses in the affected areas.
To apply for help, small business owners may write to the SBA at P.O. Box 13795, Sacramento, CA 95853-4795, or call (800) 488-5232 during business hours. Hearing-impaired individuals may call (916) 978-5564.
