The City Council has set public hearings on a proposal to put utility lines underground along two major streets.
The lines would be submerged along Studebaker Road from 183rd Street to the Artesia (91) Freeway and along Artesia Boulevard between Bloomfield and Shoemaker avenues. The hearings will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at City Hall, located at Bloomfield and 183rd.
No timetable has been established for the projects to place electric and telephone lines underground. Southern California Edison Co. would pay for the work, city officials said.
