SOUTHERN SECTION WATER POLO PLAYOFFS : Five County Teams to Play in Semifinals

Five Orange County high school water polo teams will play Southern Section semifinal playoff matches today in a quadruple-header at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach.
The program, sponsored by the Southern California Aquatic Federation Officials, ends with a Division I double-header. South Coast League rivals, top-seeded El Toro (28-1) and San Clemente (22-7), are scheduled to play at 8:15 p.m. Corona del Mar (19-8), which upset second-seeded Capistrano Valley Tuesday, will meet third-seeded North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (27-1) at 7 p.m.
In a Division II semifinal, second-seeded Esperanza (24-3) will play third-seeded Simi Valley Royal (27-1) at 3:30 p.m.; then a Division III match will feature top-seeded Costa Mesa (22-8) and Manhattan Beach Mira Costa (24-5) at 4:45 p.m.
The two other county teams in contention will play Saturday. Trabuco Hills (19-10) will play Santa Ynez at Cuesta College at 3 p.m. in a Division III match. Top-seeded Los Amigos (21-8) will play host to fourth-seeded San Bernardino (17-5) at 11 a.m. at Golden West College.
Championships in all four divisions will be Wednesday at Belmont Plaza.
