The 61st Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade comes to town Sunday with Tom and Roseanne Arnold as grand marshals. It will feature 18 floats, 14 marching bands, 60 antique cars, 12 equestrian units and more than 100 celebrities. Sponsored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the parade follows a 3.2-mile route beginning at Sunset Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue, traveling west to Highland Avenue, north to Hollywood Boulevard and east on Hollywood to Bronson Avenue. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.
Parade Tips
Spectators are encouraged to be on the parade route by 4:30 p.m.
The southbound Sunset Boulevard freeway off-ramp will be closed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the northbound off-ramp from noon to 10 p.m. The Hollywood Boulevard off-ramps will be closed from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the Normandie Avenue northbound on-ramp from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The parade route will be closed to traffic at 4:45 p.m.
RTD buses will be allowed to use the parade route until immediately before the parade starts, when they will be diverted to Franklin Avenue or Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

Traffic will be diverted to Franklin Avenue on the north and Santa Monica Boulevard to the south. North and southbound traffic should travel either west of Highland Avenue or east of Western Avenue.
The parade will be televised live on KTLA, Channel 5. It will be replayed on Nov. 29 from 8 to 10 p.m., Dec. 4 from 8 to 10 p.m., Dec. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 9 to 11 a.m.
