CAUSE BOOSTER: A nonprofit group’s report on affordable housing in Southern California (B1) supports what the Orange County Homeless Issues Task Force has known all along: There’s a crisis in housing for poor people here. But Tim Shaw, the task force’s program coordinator, calls the new report important. . . . “We have to have more awareness,” he says. “When we go into city council meetings with an affordable housing project, there are always massive numbers of people to protest. We need some numbers on our side.”
