O.C. PLATFORM : RV Parking Ban OK
I think we should have restrictive parking for RVs. Having them parked on the street distracts from the neighborhood, especially if there are a lot of them.
I just moved from a town where there weren’t restrictions and, in fact, was influenced by truckers so we had those big 18-wheeler cabs parked on the street all the time. I don’t think it looked nice. I know it’s a guy’s livelihood, but still.
I haven’t had any trouble with traffic, but I can see the problem if RVs are parked near corners and drivers come to a stop and can’t see around the corner.
Another place where I used to live had restricted RV parking but it was also fairly lenient. Common sense will tell you if people come to visit for a while, you can get a permit for them to park.
That type of regulation doesn’t discriminate against RV owners. Everybody has his or her own special interest. Nobody cares about anybody else. That’s the problem with this country right now.
