Shopping Center to Expand: Owners of Costa Mesa’s K mart Plaza have launched a $10-million renovation and expansion of the 207,755-square-foot community shopping center at Harbor Boulevard and Wilson Street. Plans call for 80,000 square feet of new retail space including a 15,000-square-foot store for the existing House of Fabrics and, in late 1993, a new 117,000-square-foot K mart store.
The plaza, opened in 1963, is home to one of the earliest K marts in California.
The center is owned by Gray Enterprises in Garden Grove.
