KOREATOWN — The Tobacco Education Project of the Korean Youth & Community Center recognized five local restaurants Saturday for implementing no-smoking policies.
“We wanted to thank those restaurants that are aware of the dangers of second-hand smoke to their customers and recognize the need for a tobacco-free environment,” said Nancy M. Lee, a center health educator.
The restaurants receiving certificates of appreciation were: Carl’s Jr. at 501 S. Western Ave., Don’s Fountain of Health at 3603 W. 6th St., Eddoko Japanese Buffet at 4202 Beverly Blvd., Mrs. Field’s Bakery and Deli at 516 W. 6th St. and Kingsley Garden at 4070 W. 3rd St., which is closed while undergoing post-riot repairs.
