Regarding the glowing article on Arkansas (“All Eyes on ‘Land of Opportunity,’ ” Nov. 8): Yes, it is a truly beautiful state with all the attractions mentioned, plus magnificent Ozark scenery. My husband and I camped through the area this September and were charmed. However, what was omitted from the article, and what we discovered after reaching Branson, Mo., just across the border, is that the town of Harrison, Ark., has the unsavory reputation of being the headquarters of the KKK (Ku Klux Klan).
