The Rose Bowl pulled the highest TV ratings of any bowl game in Los Angeles New Year’s Day with an 18.6 rating, but that was 18% lower than the 1991 Rose Bowl’s, which got a 22.6. The Sugar Bowl was the second-most watched New Year’s game in Los Angeles with a 15.6 rating.
