SPECIAL TRIP: Orange County businessman Buck Johns served as campaign finance chairman for new U.S. Rep. Edward R. Royce and traveled to Washington to see the Fullerton Republican sworn in Tuesday. . . . Sources said Johns was also drumming up congressional support to turn George Air Force Base, slated for closing, into a regional airport. Johns has been buying property around the San Bernardino County site. He said only that “I’m working on a few projects” while in Washington.
