Brown Leads Lions to Overtime Victory

Junior Sherri Brown scored 21 points and had 15 rebounds to help the Loyola Marymount women’s basketball team to a 68-60 overtime victory over Southern Utah on Saturday night at Gersten Pavilion.
The victory enabled Loyola to match the 9-3 start of the 1987-88 team.
Freshman Marlee Webb added 13 points and seven assists for the Lions. Southern Utah (4-7) was led by junior Amanie Neimann, who had 18 points.
The Lions open West Coast Conference play Friday against Portland at 5:15 p.m. at Gersten. On Saturday, Loyola plays host to Gonzaga.
