Police arrested four men suspected of robbing an employee of a fast-food restaurant at gunpoint as she walked to her car early Sunday.
According to police, an employee of Pizza Hut at Beach Boulevard and Knoxville Avenue was leaving the business at 2:30 a.m. with a friend when four men approached them and demanded money. One suspect brandished a shotgun while another showed a small knife, Sgt. Tom Donnelly said.
The victim gave the men an unknown amount of money, and the men drove away in their car, Donnelly said.
Police, using a description of the vehicle, stopped the car shortly afterward and arrested the men, whose identities were not released.
Police said they believed the suspects were involved in an unrelated incident earlier in the evening in which they allegedly threatened someone with a gun.
