But He Liked the Fans: A fine of $1,000 for shooting flaming arrows during a concert left rock star Ted Nugent disgusted with a Cincinnati judge, but he says he got along well with the arresting officers and handed out more than 100 autographs in the process. Nugent, 44, of the group Damn Yankees, was charged with a misdemeanor fire code violation for using an open flame in a prohibited area. The judge’s sentence, in his view, exposed “an embarrassing, shallow attitude toward people like myself who really support law and order.” Nugent’s charge wasn’t the only one to stem from a show at Cincinnati Gardens. A performer from the group Jackyl was cited for misdemeanor public indecency after dropping his pants on stage. Jesse James Dupree, 30, was holding a guitar in front of his body, but turned around to expose his buttocks, police said. He posted a $1,500 bond and was released.
