Presidential Pardons

Enough already: Comments on Jan. 3 by political analyst William Schneider and columnists Michael Kinsley and Elliott Abrams on Bush’s pardon of Caspar Weinberger are nothing but hogwash and redundant rhetoric.
Weinberger was pardoned for supposedly having lied to Congress. Big deal! Congress has been lying to the American public as long as I can remember. What makes it so special?
As to special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh’s declamations, he is just a sore loser. After spending $30 million of our tax dollars in lawyer fees, free meals and free rides home without producing substantial results, he’ll just have to go to work and earn his keep like the rest of us.
