Mississippi College might be stripped of its 1989 Division II national football championship because of NCAA rules violations. A yearlong investigation by the NCAA Committee on Infractions revealed that during the championship season, Mississippi College had awarded twice the number of 40 scholarships allowed to Division II schools.
