Bernard King, maintaining that he is ready to play in the NBA, has demanded that the Washington Bullets make an immediate decision on his status. King sat out last season after having surgery on his right knee. He returned to the team on New Year’s Day, passed his physical examination on Jan. 4 and has since been practicing with the team.
“We’ve waited a year and a half on Bernard King, and I don’t see why I can’t ask him to wait a while to see if his skills are where he says they are,” Coach Wes Unseld said.
