VENTURA : Caltrans Approves Rebuilding of Ditch

Caltrans has approved a $122,000 project to reconstruct a dilapidated drainage ditch along the north side of the Ventura Freeway just south of the Seaward Avenue overcrossing in Ventura.
The work is scheduled to begin in April and be completed in June. A deteriorated portion of the ditch will be reconstructed with weather-resistent concrete.
The reconstruction will stabilize the existing ditch for future drain installation on adjoining slopes, according to the California Department of Transportation.
