WASHINGTON — It’s another sign that the economy is warming up.
Fur sales, which had been declining for the last three years--as had other high-priced items, such as luxury cars, boats and expensive jewelry--are on the rise.
The Washington-based Fur Information Council of America says improved consumer confidence and below-normal winter temperatures have helped to boost sales 10% to 30%.
