‘To-Do Over Mice’ Is Trap to Be Avoided

Re “When the Call of the Wild Comes, Please Say I’m Not In” (Jan. 17, Dianne Klein column): Do try following the Orkin Pest Control man’s advice on peanut butter on mousetraps, if cheese doesn’t work; or maybe bacon bits, firmly attached would work; also, put traps against wall as we did.
My goodness sake. Such a to-do over mice.
I remember as a child on my parents’ farm, catching mice by their tails (they’d bite in self-defense when alive) when the corncrib was cleaned out. My parents had a little rat terrier, who was good on mice, and maybe rats; also: any farm cat worth his or her salt would catch and kill mice.
