Furor Over Gays in Military

Although I disagree with Rodriguez’s stance on homosexuals in the military, I do respect his right to express his opinion. What I find frightening is the hateful, heterophobic intolerance that he displays toward those who would differ with him. Instead of using persuasion and logic, this intellectually gifted man resorts to rhetoric and name-calling. Why?
