It’s Time to Pay

Yes, we are in need of tax reform in California because Proposition 13 was a con and so were the past 12 greedy years. “Pay now or pay later.” Well, it’s later and one way or another we will pay.

Those of you with children may have noticed that we somehow lost financial support (a tax base) for our public schools. And those of you who have had to change your primary residence may be paying considerably more property tax than a neighbor with property of equal or greater value. Surprised? The list goes on.

The ‘80s were years of personal interest groups and short sightedness. Here’s to looking at the “forest,” as well as the individual “trees,” and investing wisely in our American future so we can contribute and compete in the world in more effective ways than just military actions.
