SEC Investigating Huntway: Huntway Partners said a federal grand jury and the Securities and Exchange Commission have begun investigations into its finances. The company, which owns asphalt refineries, said in an SEC filing that it is cooperating. Huntway said in a press release that financial statements filed last year contain “misstatements and a number of irregularities.” In December, Huntway fired Douglas Hansen, the partnership’s chief financial officer, after an investigation determined that he may have written bad checks.
