Pope to Visit Mexico

MEXICO CITY — Pope John Paul II has accepted Mexico’s invitation to visit in August, the office of President Carlos Salinas de Gortari said Tuesday. The Pope will arrive Aug. 10 in Merida in Yucatan state.
