Wife Convicted in Slaying

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A jury convicted a woman of capital murder Wednesday in the 1992 slaying of her millionaire husband. Betty Wilson, 47, had been accused along with her twin sister, first-grade teacher Peggy Lowe, of hiring a handyman to kill Dr. Jack Wilson in order to inherit his $6.3-million estate. Lowe is awaiting trial.
