RICHMOND, Va. — Eskimo Pie Corp. said it will contribute money from the sale of its frozen ice cream bars to help pay the nation’s $4-trillion debt.
The Richmond, Va.,-based maker of frozen novelty foods plans to donate 5 cents to the government’s special fund to cut the debt for every six-pack box of Eskimo Pie ice cream bars it sells from March 8 to April 4.
The company estimated it could raise up to $4 million for the fund if the nation’s 80 million households bought one box of Eskimo Pies.
