Cardiac Science Inc.: The Irvine medical device company said it lost $773,894, or 11 cents a share, for 1992. That compared to a loss of $244,247, or 4 cents a share, for the previous year. No revenue was reported because the company is still in the research and development phase. For the fourth quarter, Cardiac Science posted a loss of $243,511, or 3 cents a share, compared to a loss of $108,642, or 2 cents a share, for the 1991 fourth quarter. The company said Friday that it has begun human clinical trials for its first product, a device intended to control irregular heartbeats.
